This park offers it all! Trails…picnic places… playgrounds…fishing spots… boating…kayaking…tubing… environmental center…holiday lights at Christmas time… soccer fields and so much more!!!Full review by Janet S
We will be stopping here on the way from Georgia to Asheville! Does anybody have any good suggestions where we could buy food for a picnic lunch? Possibly a good deli or takeout restaurant? It is my husband and I and our three-year-old! Thank you!

Does anyone have any experience using a kayak here at the park? I bought an inflatable kayak, but am new to boating. I would be using the boat launch area that is on the side by the fishing pier and shed for boat rentals. Do boaters normally go upstream or downstream? Are there certain areas to stay away from that would have stronger currents? I am going alone, so any information would be helpful.
