Chippokes is a trip back in time to a simpler, real life, where honest work was valued. Must see the farm museum and sawmill - do miss the meadow behind the barns with the antique tractors.Full review by William A

There is a website Campsite Photos that has photos of quite a few campgrounds. I do believe Chippokes is listed. Also if you hover over the site number, it does show a picture of the site. We stayed last October in a pull thru site in the newer area of the campground; these sites are all in great shape, sorry but I don't remember the site number!

How is the hunting for shark teeth at the river?
A:
Hit or miss. Some days it is fantastic. There are numerous other fossils, so any day is a good day to hunt. Low tide is best.

Ferry is your best bet. Free and a nice few minutes to relax.

The water here is amazing with at least a few hundred yards of shore being less than 4 ft deep. Its a great beach for families with small children
