A quieter setting than Harbour Town. Much smaller with fewer stores and attractions. Home of the Salty Dog restaurant. Better for those looking for a quieter alternative.Full review by Bob S
We are staying in Richmond Hill, GA which is 25 minutes from downtown Savannah (Per Mapquest) and want to go to the Beach for a few hours tomorrow. Where should we go where there is not a massive crowd of people and/or parking issues.

Being a holiday weekend, it will be packed on both North and South beach in Tybee. Best option is to arrive early. Before 1000 hrs.
I'm from Iowa and taking my daughter on a college visit to South Carolina. She would like to spend a day at the beach, and see Savannah. But we are going March 30-April 2. Is this a big spring break destination? We don't want to be in the middle of wild college shenanigans on this trip!

Granted that Tybee beach is not that large but I have not seen a lot of Spring break folks there at that time. IF the weather cooperates, this will be a great time to go but the water will be chilly, but downtown Savannah will be bright and alive with visitors.
Hi there . We are looking at the savannah hotel on savannah beach Barbados for him in April . We are beach bums and love a beautiful beach to spend our day on .
