Passengers were left in shock after a United Airlines Airbus A319 caught fire at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

More than 100 people were evacuated from a plane on the runway at a Houston airport in the southern United States on Sunday due to an engine issue, federal authorities and the airline said.

United Airlines flight 1382 to New York City was halted while still on the runway shortly after 8:30 a.m. at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement. There were no injuries and passengers were bused back to the terminal, the FAA said.
