A U.S. Navy aircraft carrier collided with a merchant vessel in the Mediterranean Sea Wednesday night, according to a statement from the military.

The U.S.S. Harry S. Truman, which had launched airstrikes against the Houthis in Yemen, struck a commercial vessel near Port Said on Wednesday, Navy officials said.
