Nick Kyrgios won a match for the first time in nearly 2 1/2 years on Wednesday at the Miami Open, beating Mackie McDonald 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 while wearing a thick wrap of beige tape on his surgically repaired right wrist that he said was numb after he took five painkillers.

The wait is over! After nearly 900 days since his most recent ATP win, Nick Kyrgios celebrated another at the Miami Open. The Aussie faced Mackenzie McDonald in the first round and claimed a comeback 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory in an hour and 43 minutes.

Up next for Britain's Raducanu will be American world number 10 Emma Navarro, who won a WTA 500 event in Mexico in early March for her second career title before losing in the third round at Indian Wells.
