President Donald Trump named foreign policy adviser and loyalist Richard Grenell interim executive director of the Kennedy Center on Monday, days after appointing himself chair, solidifying his control over the iconic American cultural institution.

Trump ousted the chairman of the esteemed institution, named himself the new leader, and then put a bunch of loyalists — including second lady Usha Vance and singer Lee Greenwood — on the board.
