A man has been charged after a series of arson attacks on businesses in Oxford. The 43-year-old, of no fixed address, will appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court later to face a charge of arson with intent to endanger life and six further charges of arson.

A man has been arrested and bailed after two alleged arson attacks in a County Durham town. On Monday, March 3, Durham Constabulary were called to a fire at a bungalow in Beechfield, Newton Aycliffe. Fire crews extinguished the blaze, which also destroyed two cars.
