Authorities arrested two brothers from Colton for their alleged part in a shooting that left two teenagers with multiple gunshot wounds in early March. They were called to a home in the city after learning of a shooting, according to a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

The pursuit began when officers in San Bernardino tried to stop a sedan on Monday afternoon for a vehicle code violation and incorrectly concluded that there was also a possible kidnapping victim into the car.

Hospital staff locked the doors and sheltered in place after seeing the man pacing in front of the building with a shotgun, officials said.
