HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Henry County police have released new details in a shooting that injured a 2-year-old. Investigators now say it was the toddler’s twin who accidentally fired the gun. NewsChopper 2 flew over the home on Robin Hood Lane on Wednesday where police said the shooting happened around 12 p.m.

A 2-year-old is on the mend after they were accidentally shot, Georgia police told news outlets. Henry County police responded around noon Wednesday, March 12, to the shooting at a home in Hampton, WAGA reported. Fire rescue crews at the scene treated the injured toddler, who was then flown to a hospital, according to the station.

The Henry County Fire Rescue Units treated the victim, who has only been identified so far as a "small child." The victim was then airlifted to the hospital for further treatment.
