Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said the man killed was wearing a bulletproof vest and multiple guns were found in his car.

Officers shot a 53-year-old woman overnight who fired a gun at them after they were called to a home near the Oceanway area by the woman’s husband, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Jacksonville police responded to a call of an armed woman threatening suicide and were met with gunfire. Six officers returned fire wounding her.

A JSO officer and another person are hospitalized following a shooting during a traffic stop in North Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office have not yet given an update on what occurred but did say that an officer is injured in an “officer-involved incident.” Much of the location is closed off with police tape and JSO’s Mobile Crime Unit is on the scene.
