Kobbie Mainoo has returned to Manchester United training ahead of their Europa League quarter-final clash with Lyon. Ruben Amorim’s side could be boosted by the return of the English midfielder who has not played since February, in their FA Cup Fourth Round win against Leicester City.

Kobbie Mainoo has put himself in contention for a return to the Manchester United matchday squad for Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final first leg against Lyon. United will travel out to France later today ahead of a meeting with the Ligue 1 outfit at the Groupama Stadium.

Mainoo has been absent since picking up a muscular issue in training in the days after his most recent appearance against Leicester in February.
