Monday was a luxurious day to catch the front end of Lake Maumelle's fabled white bass run. Rusty Pruitt of Bryant, who has been itching to fish, has been equally eager to float his boat.

Thanks to a partnership between the Maumelle Center on the Lake and CareLink, and a donation from Coca-Cola Consolidation, 300 senior citizens in the Central Arkansas area received free shoes.
