Commuters who drive between Monroe and Knoxville on Iowa Highway 14 should expect delays on their trip due to Iowa DOT construction on two bridges.

The mile long bridge over Lake red rock closed today and will remain closed for six months. The Iowa DOT is resurfacing the 60 year old bridge and replacing a second bridge to the north.
