STORRS — The Student Recreation Center at the University of Connecticut was evacuated Sunday due to a threat of an explosive, an official says, but was later determined to be unfounded.

According to Stephanie Reitz, UConn spokesperson, the threat originated at the Student Recreation Center. Reitz stated that a note was found indicating there was an explosive inside the building.
