The Sullivan County Humane Society is hosting a Rabies Clinic for dogs and cats. The event is taking place on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Newport Public Works Department located at 449 S.

The USDA will begin distributing oral rabies vaccine baits in East Tennessee to prevent rabies from spreading.
