Two major California highways close down due to flooding

Jan. 4, 7:25 a.m. As of 7 a.m. Sunday, northbound Highway 101 on the Central Coast is still closed due to flooding from the juncture with Highway 1 to about 5 miles north of the juncture with State Route 217. Caltrans is asking motorists to use alternate routes in the meantime.
