I got tired of hauling buckets of water to my distant trees and dumping the water at the base of the tree only to see it quickly run off. I took some old 5-gallon buckets and drilled a 1/4-in.

The way it works is somebody is challenged to either donate $100 to ALS research or dump a bucket of ice water on their head within 24 hours (although, in a lot of cases, folks are doing both).
