British pop sensation Charli XCX has been crowned Songwriter of the Year by the Brit Awards, marking a significant career milestone and positioning her as a front-runner for Saturday's ceremony at London's O2 Arena, BBC reported.

Charli XCX will collect the songwriter of the year award at the upcoming BRIT Awards. The Brat star is the recipient of the honorary prize, which has previously been won by British acts Ed Sheeran (2022), Kid Harpoon (2023) and most recently, Raye (2024).

We’re still a few days away from the actual Brits ceremony but it’s been confirmed that Charli XCX has already won one award: Songwriter Of The Year. And to go alongside it, her longstanding producer AG Cook has been confirmed as Producer Of The Year for his work on Brat.

Charli XCX will be awarded the Songwriter of the Year honour at the 2025 BRIT Awards on Saturday. The Guess singer will receive the honour at The O2 in London on 1 March in recognition of the success of her 2024 album Brat.
