John Wick 5 was recently announced, though the Keanu Reeves action franchise's upcoming anime prequel is the smartest way to expand the story.

The John Wick franchise refuses to stay down, and now, it’s coming back for a fifth chapter. Lionsgate’s Jenefer Brown , EVP and Head of Global Products & Experiences, recently confirmed again that John Wick: Chapter 5 is in development.

In the new explosive trailer, we see Ian McShane reprising Continental manager Winston Scott alongside the late Lance Reddick, who died just before the release of John Wick Chapter 4 aged 60. His character Charon also died in the fourth movie, but he shot his scenes for the prequel spin-off Ballerina in 2022.
