As cleanup efforts begin after Friday's storm, the National Weather Service continues to conduct surveys identifying the tornadoes throughout the St. Louis region. FOX 2 meteorologist John Fuller says just short of a dozen tornadoes have been identified by the National Weather Service as these surveys continue.

The National Weather Service has confirmed eight tornadoes so far from Friday’s severe weather. According to NWS, the eight tornadoes are: The NWS says the EF-2 tornado that developed near Villa Ridge moved over 13 miles northeast with maximum estimated winds of 130 mph.

Heavy storms barreled through parts of the St. Louis area late Friday, downing trees and destroying homes in Bridgeton, Florissant, Hazelwood and Arnold.
