Lincoln Financial Foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant to Easterseals Northeast Indiana to help enhance employability for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The latest recipient is Lauren Sedillo, a native to downtown Elkhart since 2015. Sedillo is launching a tool library for neighbors living along the 100 and 200 blocks of division and state streets.

After a 13-day interval without any such fires in Indiana County, the 50th brush fire of 2025 brought out Commodore and Marion Center volunteer firefighters to Grant Township Monday afternoon.
