For families living on Graf Road in Highland Township, the area is their little slice of heaven along the Whitewater River.

INDOT will close the east approach of 56th Street at Pendleton Pike in Lawrence for up to 45 days on April 15 to reconstruct the roadway as part of a broader infrastructure improvement plan.

The M-139 project is scheduled to start with the repaving of 3.6 miles from Deans Hill Road and Hinchman Road.
