It’s been a little over two months since Rich Rodriguez accepted the head coaching position at West Virginia University. After 17 years away from the program, Rodriguez’s return has been met with a plethora of positivity from the fanbase and supporters.

Contrary to popular belief, West Virginia head football coach Rich Rodriguez has no idea who is starting quarterback is going to be in 2025. What he does know, though, is that he has multiple guys in that room that he believes he can win with.

The West Virginia football program is looking to put itself back on the map under Rich Rodriguez after struggling to find its way with former head coach Neil Brown. Rodriguez is now back as head coach for the second time and has not spent much time watching the team’s tape from a season ago.

The West Virginia Mountaineers have hired Rich Rodriguez as head coach for his second stint in Morgantown. Rodriguez played his college ball at West Virginia from 1981-1984 and took over as the Mountaineers head coach in 2001.

From what Rich Rodriguez said about the West Virginia University football team’s first spring practice, the Mountaineers are by no means easing into 2025. “I mean, my voice is kind of half there,” Rodriguez said.
