Eminem's publisher has sued LaFontaine Ford St. Clair for an ad spot promoting a Lions F-150, claiming the dealer failed to license "Lose Yourself."

According to TMZ, Eminem’s hit song “ Lose Yourself ” is at the helm of a copyright infringement lawsuit. The outlet reports that today (January 27) Eight Mile Style, a partial owner of Eminem’s catalog filed paperwork against a LaFontaine Ford St. Clair, Ford dealership, for unauthorized use of the track in its recent advertisement.

The lawsuit, filed by Eight Mile Style, says that videos published to the TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook accounts of LaFontaine Ford St. Clair in September and October 2024 used ‘Lose Yourself’ as a backing track and said interested shoppers would “only get one shot” to buy the special F-150 Hybrid, limited to just 800 units.
