Central High’s Caribs were among four USVI public school teams participating in the 11-team, three-day tournament, held at the Milwee Middle School gymnasium in Longwood, Fla., near Orlando.

Its cultural tapestry is woven from history, being first home to the indigenous Arawaks, then the Caribs, before becoming a French colony in the 17th century, and eventually a British outpost.
