Just as Shohei Ohtani’s marriage announcement last year came as a surprise around Dodgers camp, Roki Sasaki’s previously unknown nuptials were the news of the morning.

Sasaki’s surprise wedding announcement comes nearly a year after teammate Shohei Ohtani did the same thing. Similar to Sasaki, Ohtani also kept his relationship private upon the announcement, but he has since revealed the identity of his wife, former Japanese professional basketball player Mamiko Tanaka.

Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki has revealed that he's married, something that even caught Dodgers manager Dave Roberts by surprise.
