SHREVEPORT, La. -- Federal authorities will take the lead in prosecuting two brothers suspected in the robbery and murder of a pharmaceutical-drugs deliveryman in Shreveport last month.

Lewis’ brother, Kelvin Lewis, is the suspected triggerman. He’s still in jail in Texas on an unrelated charge. Federal authorities are taking the lead in the prosecution of both men.

Kelvin Lewis, 38, made the assertion in a court motion in response to his 2005 conviction on two armed robbery charges, one of which involved use of a gun. He was sentenced to 25 years.
