The flight attendants of a passenger jet that collided with an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. Wednesday were based out of Charlotte, an Association of Flight Attendants spokesperson confirmed to Axios.

The plane collided with a military helicopter over the Potomac, killing 67 people. The four-member plane crew was based in Charlotte.

Wendy Shaffer “was the heart of her family” with a “warm, loving home filled with laughter and care,” her friends said.
