Ronald Scott Stevens (born April 1, 1964) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. As a defenseman, Stevens played 22 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Washington Capitals, St. Louis Blues and New Jersey Devils, serving as captain of the Devils from 1992 to 2004.

Mar 5, 2024 · Scott Stevens was last seen on the bench with the Minnesota Wild as part of Bruce Boudreau ‘s staff during the 2016-17 season. Stevens resigned to spend more time with his family. Before that, he was the interim co-head with Adam Oates after the Devils relieved Peter DeBoer of his duties.

As captain of the New Jersey Devils, Stevens was the emotional and physical leader behind the club's three Stanley Cups won in 1995, 2000, and 2003. Stevens again hoisted the Stanley Cup in 2003, and again was noted for delivering gigantic bodychecks.
