Typically when I run a trucked discovery I set it up to check the database and record 120 seconds of conversation on new tgid’s. I use these snippets to try to ID the who / where. Sheriff or PD, utilities & pollution control or styrene unit, etc.

Mar 12, 2024 · I rode the train to each stop, if you upgraded to R4.0.0 , and are not going to use your HF+ Discovery legacy/older linux,, you can ride on past to R4.0.3 , which will include R4.0.2 enhancements and you will not have to physically unplug/replug the usb to reset the device.

While you only need the control channel frequencies, until you know, for sure, which might be control, as well as alternates, I'd enter all of them. If, however, this is a DMR or NXDN system, you're going to need the LCNs (DMR) or channel numbers (NXDN).

Sep 16, 2016 · The final step is to locate the color code TG and time slot. Load the edited favorites list to the scanner and start the scanner up. Use the menu key to go to "discovery". Hit the "yes" key. Select 'trunking discovery" and hit 'yes". Select 'new session" and hit "yes". Rotate the main knob until the capital letter 'R" is displayed and hit "yes".

Then I sent all this to my scanner and turn on Full-Database and my favorites list.

Oct 15, 2024 · VFO and MR (I call channel).....I wish I could hit the button and see the VFO for say channel 10 and hit the VFO button again and see channel 10s frequency.... How do I know if channel 10 is 146.5 without CHIRP? While on the channel I selected menu and went through the steps and didn't see the frequency....

Jun 28, 2024 · Review Discovery allows you to review the Run results, resume Runs, or restart saved Discovery Sessions. If you use the Auto Store option, Discovery will create a new Favorites List called Trunking Discovery, or Conventional Discovery. Each Session will create a new System, and each Run will create a new Department for IDs or frequencies found.
