Jan 20, 2022 · The Daybreak has much more range, thus I find it much more useful against Moon Lord. 1.4.1 buffed the Daybreak by making the spears explode dealing an additional 100% of the weapon's damage. The Solar Eruption is better for large groups or enemies because it hits in multiple spots. It also can go through blocks.

Dec 7, 2022 · Terra Blade is more than good enough for Moon Lord on any difficulty. Daybreak and Solar Eruption may technically have higher DPS on him, but both require better aim and Solar Eruption has shorter range. Terra Blade is fun and easy so it’s my preference, but there’s no wrong choice here.

Aug 11, 2020 · Yes. Solar eruption hits the enemies very fast and a lot, it’s amazing for dps, daybreak isn’t as good but it is still very powerful against the moon lord, also don’t use the terra blade against the moon lord, it’s not very powerful against it

Dec 15, 2022 · Daybreak is really good for crowd control and solar eruption is good for single target ( i think based on damage and how they work ) for EoL I think solar eruption is good but someone may have a better option

Jul 9, 2020 · If you look up the Terraria speedrunner 'TheVideoGamsBadger' his spawn-nurse-dryad setup is very useful. Then once he's summoned, use your UFO mount to fly around a small area around your nurse, flying back and healing when you need it (auto pause isn't necessary if you're quick enough).

It has more dps than the daybreak if on multiple targets (not the case) or if you're close enough to be hitting it over the full duration of the swing (it's swing varies and the further you are from your target, the most likely it won't reach it's full potential). Furthermore, it has the smallest range of the tree, but it can go through blocks ...

Jul 25, 2015 · If you are going full melee, you can craft any fragment by using one of all three of the others. If you convert all fragments to solar, you should have enough for both. In general though, eruption is better than daybreak.

Jun 9, 2020 · Solar Eruption deals the highest damage the closer you are to the target, whereas Daybreak deals the same damage at any range. This coupled with the fact that Daybreak has more reach, it's better when you're at a distance from the enemy. However I must agree that the Solar Eruption is generally the better weapon in most circumstances.
